2015 FO GUANG ZU TING YI XING GREAT ENLIGHTENMENT TEMPLE

The 15-storey Yi Xing Great Enlightenment Temple is a multi-functional building offering food, accommodation and exhibition space. The 13th floor of the building is decorated with Sangha theme for pilgrims to know more about Buddhist monks. Via abstract symbols of mountains, clouds and the sun, the whole space is divided into outdoor areas and caves. The audience sit on praying mats, feel the vibe of listening to Dharma, stand up and have a walk among the walls to feel the unbreakable will and wisdom of eminent monks. We attempted to show their practice by the displays, audience movements and our space design.
