2019 Dear Life Tour to Paris

This is a stage play inspired by Nobelist Alice Munro’s short story “Dear Life” The Taiwanese director set the location on Taoyuan, Taiwan, to sparkle the empathy of the audience. As a result, we sampled the iron-sheet houses and fences all over Taoyuan as the foundation of the stage design. With this accurate and yet vague land scene as the stage setting--the corner that people pass by without having a second look, numerous life stories of new and old immigrants were told.
